Partners: Legal Aid

The Institute provides free legal services to qualified households focused on property preservation. Services include, but are not limited to, estate planning; clearing title to family-owned property to secure tax exemptions and home repairs; accessing home equity and mortgage information; and supporting long-term housing stability. ECI also represents clients in probate matters, mortgage, tax, and HOA foreclosures, contracts for deed, adverse possession claims, and partition suits.

Lone Star Legal Aid helps low-income residents with civil legal issues like foreclosure prevention, clouded or tangled titles, and legal issues related to disasters and home repair needs.
